  • Mountain District Learning Centre have a number of roles that require volunteers. They include helpers for their community garden (suitable for Centrelink participants) and a classroom assistant for their seniors computer class 
  • Community Visitors Scheme - This role involves visiting an older person on a regular basis for social interaction and to help alleviate loneliness and social isolation. Applicants from a migrant background are encouraged to apply particularly those who speak a second language - Migrant Information Centre.

COVID-19 Update 2021

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions many of our services are still in the process of gradually opening up to volunteers. However others are re-thinking their position descriptions to engage with the public in a virtual capacity. If you are interested in tutoring people via phone or online or would like to write for a community magazine or even call people who are socially isolated please contact us!
