Volunteer Expo 2024

What an absolute honor to be around so many wonderfully inspiring people at our Volunteer Expo on 24 April, 2024 at Knox Civic Centre.

We shared information, food, chess and draughts games, enjoyed live music from Alan Bartlett, and met Quentin and Avery who volunteer their services as therapy dogs.

Thank-you to the CFA and SES for bringing their service vehicles.

Thank-you also to Cr Jude Dwight – Mayor of Knox for opening our event.

Chef Lillie provided such fun with the Prosperity Toss and to Feed One feed All volunteers who made a delicious Fried Rice for all our guests and stallholders.

What a pleasure having Radio Eastern FM 98.1 at our event doing live interviews across all the organisations.

Finally a BIB BIG thank-you to the 40 non profit organisation stallholders. Your stalls were bright, vibrant and full of goodies to share!

We also want to than the 300 community members that attended and wanted to dedicate their time to volunteering her here in Knox. Now to start planning for 2025!

        Testimonials:

“So many great stories! So many amazing people! So many ways to Change Someone’s World. Volunteer for Knox’s Volunteering Expo would have to be the biggest thing that’s happened in our function rooms all year! Was hoping to post earlier to come on down but I just couldn’t drag myself away.” Cr Jude Dwight Mayor, Knox City Council

“Congratulations to you both for a wonderful Knox Volunteer Expo. It was terrific!!” Theodora Niakolas Teacher Eastern Ranges School

“Thanks so much for putting on such a terrific event on Wednesday! I had lots and lots of great conversation with people some of which may end up filling some empty volunteering spots. I really like the format of the day – being at Council was helpful too as it streamlined connections between council and NFP’s. Also, the facilities were sensational. Well done! We cant wait to register next time! Thanks for all you do.” Drew Nicholls Interim CEO Foothills Community Care
